Language Learning For Kids

New language learning program designed just for children.

The Birmingham Public Library (BPL) is proud to announce the inclusion of award-winning language learning solution for children, Little Pim, to the database collection through our Mango Language.

The Most Comprehensive Foreign Language Program for Kids

Watch and Learn at Home Or On-The-Go with Little Pim as Their Guide

Little Pim is the leading language teaching method designed just for children. The short 5-minute videos hold their focus so they can begin their language learning journey on their own.

Keep kids entertained anytime, anywhere while inspiring a lifelong love of language learning. The videos are 100% ad-free and available to watch on any device!

Your Child's 1st Introduction to a New Language

Your child will love following along with Little Pim, the adorable cartoon panda bear who serves as the “teacher.” Little Pim is voiced by native speakers in each of the 12 languages they offer. With Pim by their side, your child can learn 360 foundational words and phrases.

Hearing and repeating these words and phrases with their virtual teacher help children recall, reproduce, and apply the new sounds. Child-friendly themes of colors, shapes, counting, and foods make it relatable and engaging. And kids love the playful panda, so their first association with language learning is something fun. Provide the essential building blocks for language learning with Little Pim!

Learning a New Language Is Fun and Easy with Little Pim

Little Pim’s Entertainment Immersion Method® engages a child’s natural love of play and learning through repetition. The more they watch, the more they learn. Simple sentences are broken down into easy-to-understand parts and are reinforced through repetition by native speakers.

Unlimited Access to All 12 Languages and More!

You can choose from multiple languages (or all of them) to teach your little ones! Through the BPL, you will receive access to ALL videos plus any new videos and content added. Little Pim languages include:

  • Spanish
  • French
  • English/ESL
  • Mandarin Chinese
  • Italian
  • German

  • Japanese
